Was playing Cabal for 2 hours, while practicing my Battle Mode 2 on Training Dummy, it dies and drops me a Upgrade Core (High). =D Yippee, not worth a lot, but makes my day.
I don't have much time left till 8 October (3.5 weeks), I hope to get over this exam quickly and move on to FYP smoothly and get started on my crafts.
Oh Manga camp next week, dunno if i should go. This drawing camp can polish my drawing skills, buts... buts... maybe i should use this time for other things.
3 consecutive days at part time work can be quite tiring. Oh, I have been working as a waiter for a month now. But I will manage somehow. Took Monday off to study for my exam on Tuesday. Still, I think I will quit this job before school reopens.

Wanted to go watch Liar game on last Saturday, but it was fully booked. So we ended up playing Risk in the club house.

Magnets

Today I learnt about diamagnetic materials. Firstly, there are 3 type of magnetic materials.
Ferromagnetic material, iron cobalt, nickel and steel, are the commonly know materials used for making magnets and electro-magnets.
Paramagnetic materials are weaker then ferromagnetic material when it comes to the strength of the magnetic field produced. Unlike ferromagnetic materials,such as aluminium and copper, paramagnetic materials do not retain the magnetic properties when the magnetic field is removed (meaning it will demagnetise itself).
The last but not least is diamagnetic materials, this type of material produces a repulsion field when it is exposed to magnetic field. The best way to describe this is, levitation of object above a strong magnetic field. This is commonly used by magicians in levitation tricks. Note that, Bullet train does not use this diamagnetic material to levitate.

Another thing i learnt is Flat Halbach arrays.
Magnetic field produced by a magnet is evenly spread in every direction.
Flat Halbach arrays is a way of arranging magnets, such that one side of the magnetic field is cancelled out and the opposite side of the magnetic field is reinforced.
This can solved problems where magnetic field shielding is needed.

I went to school today.
To collect consent form for camp.
And I was so glad i dressed nicely.
unexpectedly Jill was also in the club house. =D
Finally managed to draw a few pictures of her,
I want to get permission to draw her portrait.
Jill knows how to dress herself nicely,
and she looks cool~!
I like the way she has her accessories dangling.
So cool and stylish.

The manga guys are in the club house, and they found a new game to play.
Command & Conquer III, this game isn't new, but it is just another game they found to play.
I want to play too...T.T
Gotta study, tmr test lololol.

Went to SOY'B yesterday.
Ahh, everything is nice there.
Saw many cosplayers, darn, i forget to bring my camera.
The only thing that i didn't like was Inkspot's commission art work.
Request for a certain character to be drawn by them. But in actual fact, they are just copying the requested character from the internet.
If you say they made a few changes, it is because they drew it lousier from the original.
They are doing copy art and selling it for $3, and worst, that artist even put down her Deviantart name after doing the copy art.
They are not on the level to do commission art works, so just don't do it.
Anyways, that aside, i think i am inspired to do cosplay as well. (I always wanted to try)

I like this manga, Blaue Rosen. It is a gender blender, shojo, slice of school life, type.
I find it interesting when a girl dresses like a guy and a guy dresses as a girl! XD

I have been thinking, maybe i should draw portraits of people.
And when i get better, maybe i will draw for people in school.
That's 1 way to level up. But first i need more practice and cut down on my timing.

Tomorrow, Maths online MCQ Quiz. Write essay and EMD lesson.

Bad, EMD i still very blur.

For essay my group topic is regarding single-sex school. Which I had done some research this afternoon.

Japanese lesson, i don't know what sensei saying as well. =/

I have yet to do trial quiz for maths, better get it done later.

I did a copy art of Sho and Fan. It is done on black paper, pretty cool.

Sho is cooler with longer eye lashes. (Sho is the cool looking "guy" above)Hope it looks like them, i mean, what the point of doing copy art when they don't resemble the real thing. But I think the rose is very nice, perhaps i am still better at drawing objects.

Started playing Facebook games, they are really addictive.

My cousin Samuel says he want to play Cabal again, I don't know if i should join him. =/ I want to spend less time on games... I just contradicted myself by playing fb games... Lol.

This weekend is SOY'B. Sunako didn't reply me as usual. Oh well, at least i have something to look forward to this weekend.

Lastly, i feel bad not hanging around with my classmates. I don't know how to talk to them. And it will be weird if i start hanging around them, i mean... arrgh, i don't know.

Anyways, better spend the remaining time doing maths trail quiz. Amount 4.5% of overall marks. Which is quite a lot, to move one's ranking by 1 grade.

Hello year 2010.
Start of a fresh new year, we must make new year resolutions!
Setting goals to improve ourselves.
Firstly, get all As for my modules.
Improve my drawing to commercial standards.
Score 75% for my JLPT (currently my jap test is about 50%)
Must learn to skate better and do a bit of stunts. (either through skate club or self-improvement programme)
Draw a short manga.
Last but not least, build good relationship with her.

Yesterday was a fun filled day.
My uncle's family, uncle's friend, my cousins and I went to Pula Ubin for a cycling trip and to look at marine life.
The cycling is tedious with up and down slope, muddy and rocky path.
I manage to applied what i have learnt in class on the gears of the bicycle. By changing the gears, I am able to get higher torque or speed to tackle the road condition.
Then we went to the jetty, it is a low lying coastal area.
When the tide withdraw, it uncovers a lot of seaweeds, grass, algae and small marine life.
The most interesting creature to me is the Sea Cucumber. When u pick it up from water and gently touch it, it will urine on you. It looks like a sweet potato with a mouth and anus on the ends.
My cousin Jamie amazes me on what she wants to do.
She wants to be a part time zoo keeper. She has great interest in animals. Someone who loves nature.
Well, not like i hate nature. Just that, I know that cats and dogs won't bite me, but i am "scared" of them. So they don't touch me, I won't touch them.

Oh, a few days ago, i went with my family to make my contact lens, so don't find it strange if you see me without spectacles.

Earlier mention that i want my drawing to be at commercial standards.
I want to be able to draw T-shirt prints for my uncle and cousin.
But I find that my drawings still lack appeal.

Ate the above potato chip. Nothing special about it besides the attractive packaging. I still prefer the NTUC Fairprice potato chip which you can get at $1 from almost any NTUC.
Haven't been drawing much lately =/

Everyday is just doodling.

No great works drawn in the last few weeks.

I don't like drawing fan art, cause it is mostly copying the original.

I don't think you can learn anything from doing fan art.

The last fan art i did was Kagami from Lucky Star.

As for Lifearts.

I don't find Jeno serious at all.

The year 1s, they are doing fine. I can see a few talented ones.

The year 2s, they are fine to begin with, but i wonder if we can improve much more.

The is only 1 year 3 to begin with, and that's Jeno.

Classes are ok. Sometimes i get bored because it is too simple.

And I seriously don't understand how people can fail their modules.

More like they fail themselves.

In my opinion, they will only pull others down with them, so i will keep my distance.

As for her.

I am back to square one, where nothing happened.

Got to pull up my socks for my Japanese Language.

I am probably the weakest student there, despite my enthusiasm. =/

Off to bed, lesson starts in 9 and a half hour, and it is a boring one.

Well, sigh. Nobody seems interested to go to the school festival when i first asked.
When I invited Tyson, he was able to ask the rest of those perviously "not interested people" to go along. Ok, it seems I would not be soloing this year. Well, it turned worst.
On actually day, Tyson and other two was later for 30minutes. You know I hate waiting. You guys even decided the time. Poor Marcus who arrived an hour early(because he was enthu), waited for 1 and a half hour.
So nevermind that, when we arrived at the school festival the food was sold out, only the expensive ones are left.
So we go around the school, there is huanted house, movie, performance on the stage and many game booths.
So we went around, and they passed by, simply because there were to many people and they don't feel like waiting to check it out. Or simply not interested.
Marcus decided to go solo, because he felt that he cannot get anything done sticking in a group. So he went.
Well, after a while, we meet up again and don't feel like checking out the festival anymore.
Yes, the mood was spoiled in the first place.
So in the end we left the place in less then an hour after we arrived.
You know, I waited a year to visit this school festival again, I will definately not invite them next year. Pissed, but I can only let it slide.

Next stop is my family chalet, fastforward ---> to fun part.
Skating! My cousins Simon(14), Jamie(13), Jonah(12), Joel(12) and I(18) went skating.
Simon and I are beginners in skating, so we are begin taught how to skate by the 3 Js.
They can pull me along, so I don't have to skate at all. XD
I was taught how to tackle the hills up and down slope.
I fell countless times.
So my limbs and bottom hurts.
I have my own skates so I am joining the skate club next semester.

Jamie is interested in manga drawing as well.
So I did a brief guide on drawing the face and body for her.
Jonah wanted me to do a sketch of him, well I got it done.

The BBQ was good.
I didn't have to lend a hand, because my eldest cousins' boyfriends attended to the fire and cooked the food.
Jason(16), my younger cousin and his girlfriend stayed overnight with us as well.
Well, I hope he will do well. ^^,

SP Lifearts camp coming this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I don't feel like going, because I can imagine Jeno doing ridiculous things which does not involve drawing. But Marcus assured me that he and Tyson are the ones in charge and there will be drawing. Well, if Marcus says so, I will give it a try.

I am the soloist

Well, it is so late at night so let's keep this post short.
On Thursday, I went to watch Japanese movie with my Japanese classmates. Yes, i went to watch movie, not because I am there for social bonding with them but because we had to write a movie review. Suzuki sensei even want us to attach the movie ticket to our review, so I can't go stream an anime movie. That Movie is like a drama, not interesting, I am bored 80% of the time.

On Friday, Manga classes again~.
As usual, i don't feel like going because I know quite a few of them are just going to sit there, chill out, have fun, and without drawing. But I went out of commitment.
Well, even if I can draw, I don't really fit into the manga group.
They are not otakus to a very great extend that I can't understand them.
It is just that I am not an otaku to begin with.
So why do I still go and join them?
Because I am accepted over there for "soloing"
As long as you are strong enough to work on your own go ahead.
I do cooperate when there is a need to.

If you say I am a geek, then you are terribly wrong. Because I don't study at all and I still get my A. I am not a genius. Just that I make full use of lesson time (I do sleep in class, but that is called "stand by mode", computers can still continue downloading stuffs even in stand by mode, so can I)
Yes, making full use of lesson time means not fooling around with classmates and skipping lesson with them, which in terms = anti-social.
The other thing is all of my classmates and I are of different frequency, it is hard to interact. =/
If you say I dress like a geek, well I don't have to dress nicely if I have no one I want to impress, right?

Not an otaku who lives in his own world, not a geek who cares only about himself.
I am just a soloist, I am an observer. I am the one who will make fair judgement without regards to personal relationship or others opinion.
So I am always standing alone.

This Sunday, I am going to waseda shibuya senior high school, it is in Singapore. =D
Been waiting a whole year for this event, because last year's was good.
It is a high school festival like those you seen in anime. Each classes have their own booth and they put up all sorts of things.
There was Haunted House, Cafe, games booths and many more, when I went there last year.
So I invited a few close friends, but they were either all too busy or are not interested.
Well, looks like I will be soloing again this year.
Wait, maybe I should ask her out. I dunno. =/

Somehow this turned into a long post. Oh well, time to go to bed and see what I can do tomorrow. =)

I am going to write a script so I can finally draw manga. There are two path in manga department you can take, they are manga and illustration. Manga is Japanese comic, while illustration is a nice picture. I prefer manga because I want to give life into my original characters. Illustration alone cannot bring out the character of my characters. I am not very interested into doing fan arts. (fan art - drawing of other artist's characters) So i am back to continuing the script from 9 months ago. Back then we were a team of year 1s, without much drawing skills and commitment, so the team died. It was a great story idea, well that's what i think.

Well the rest of the spla is probably going into illustration. Jeno had this idea of web comic, i doubt it will work. As usual, i doubt any idea from jeno, because he always have a sudden impulse of doing things, hence there might not be enough commitment after some time.

For now, i am going to update my script a little by little. My dream team is to get Gab to be my chracter designer (her character drawing is as good as the Legendary Girl A but she has itp >.<) and Marcus to be my editor(he has a great knowledge in manga drawing after participating in so many original character competition on DeviantArt). I am the script writer (trying to do it now), story planner (not sure if can =X, that's why i need editor)and background artist(My best aspect).

Tyson birthday

Went Soul Garden with the Manga department to gather and celebrate Tyson's birthday. Well, it is an exception since i don't even celebrate my classmate birthday. The birthday present prepared for him was warpped in many layers of wrapping paper. When Tyson unwrap a layer to find another layer, it will set everyone laughing off. In the end he got a soft toy won from UFO catcher.

After eating dinner, we took some photos walk around, and i came across this shop.

"Yong Soon is this your shop?" He is my secondary school best friend. He is a hardworking mugger, as well as a hardcore gamer. This 2 opposite personality is almost impossible to exist in a person, but he did it. I wonder how he is coping in JC =/

I passed by the KFC in Yew Tee the other day, they were hiring cashier. It is located in a corner and without many people, so I thought it would be a good place to work. So i submitted my application but never got a call back from them. =/

Manga classes in the holiday, well the usual i guess. I am logging off to do some drawings.

Exams are here, who cares. Since i lower my target of getting full marks to just an A i only spent a few hours revising past year question.

Now, what is it i want to share about...

Yes, Rozen Maiden.

There the anime and manga about it. I watched the anime, it is about dolls in Alice game. They fought each other to become the perfect doll. The winner gets to meet their creator, whom they call "father".

I bought poker cards a few days ago. Not because i like poker, but because they are Rozen Maiden picture cards. =D

This girl i like. =X

Well, hard to get together.

First it is even hard to become friends, we got no common time slot.

By that i mean, every weekday I meet my classmates, spend time together. Every Saturday i draw art with my art friends, spend time together. Every Wednesday i study Jap with my Jap friends, spend time together. So if we spend time together it is a way to build friendship. Love starts from friendship right?

Secondly, after hinting so many times it is either she doesn't like me or she is an airhead. The latter which i think not. She is not like tenma from School Rumble. Oh yea, School Rumble rocks. Nice show, if you like those slow pace school life, such as Lucky Star and Azumanga Daiho you have to catch School Rumble! The opening and ending song of School Rumble is nice too.

Thirdly, I am back to playing Cabal after a 5 month break from mmorpg. Although the item prices have drop since I last played, they are still expensive. I enjoy playing Asiasoft game because they are free to play, in other words I never spent a single cent buying pre-paid card.

At the moment I am still practicing drawing. I am creating a portfolio of nice art i drew WITHOUT reference. Come on, if you look at something and draw, I won't call it your art. Your art comes from your imagination.

Natsumatsuri

What i did today, i mean yesterday...

Go to Natsumatsuri aka summer festival with my manga department. Saw a few of my Japanese language classmates. I bought this food, dunno what it is called, tasted a bit, yucks so salty. Bought another food, oso so salty. Finally bought an obento together with Marcus and JZ. Then the guys want to get some dry beer. JZ says he is under 18 and doesn't want any beer, so i treat him to ice lemon tea. Soon they came back, I told Marcus about the food i bought earlier. He saw it and exclaimed, called out the name of the food and happily ate it.

One of the game station where you try to get those water balloon using a hook tied to paper.

After eating, i went around exploring the place. Saw the plamo department, the game stations, yukata renter, $4 laying on the ground (someone lost it, i pretend i never see, dun take what is not mine) and many cute children in Japanese traditional costumes.

Spend time with my department, see, chat have fun.

Looking forward to the next event next month, Japanese high school festival.

Have been looking for 1 of these solar keychain I like. Finally found it at the Cosfest 09 after a few years of searching whenever i went to Malaysia with my family, but could not find any I like. This key chain is better then those i saw, as it comes with a digital clock, you can set the time by poking 2 small buttons at the side. (buttons are on the inside, so have to poke, cannot press)

The character on the Keychain is Saber from Fate Stay Night, it is about fighting, the winner will get his/her wish granted.

After going to cosfest on the first day, i painted him at night and the next few days as well.

It is a gift for someone who likes fmp! fumofu!

Fun of painting is I get to mix colour, mixing silver and black gives me silver grey for the gun, so i can make it shiny as well as the dull colour for guns. Although I don't think I am good at it, =/

The CTA tutorial teacher saw my drawing and ask me help her draw for some flyers. =.=

Not good to turn her down...zzz so there it goes, still need to photoshop it... going to do it tmr at lifearts usual saturday slack class. For this picture, i am trying to draw a girl thinking about...like.."what should i do?" that kinda of expression. (the teacher wants a girl -.-, )

In return she give me CCA points, which I dun really care about, got 40+ liao, and still growing with many events haven update...zzz

Today a bit special, (oh no, it is pass midnight, so i should say yesterday) so got haircut the day before. Still experimenting on different hair styles to find 1 that looks good on me =X

I Saw a few newcomers just sit in and do nth (wasting time) because Jeno (the 1 conducting the class, year 3) is playing games on the big screen while waiting for dunno what... (confirm they sure quit 1. Well none of my concern and i can't say much either, my power is limited)

Dangerous Chewing Gum Toy

Today, I learnt about how dangerous electric current is when it is passed through a human body.

A stun guns in the market use a current of 3-4 mA. In other words, this fun looking toy is twice as dangerous as the gun! (It measures 7 mA) As shown in the above picture i took with the chewing gum toy i bought sometime ago in Malaysia.

This picture shows my body resistance taken from finger to toe, it is 3.173 mega Ohms. I think this is probably the skin resistance value. If a current would to flow through the body, it will most probably travel by the blood vessels which is obviously a good conductor of electricity.

A typical One dollar Singapore coin has a resistance value of 0.2 Ohms.

First time in a long while have my multi meter been useful. =)

Next time when you go out, remember to bring chewing gums with you, you can offer it to dangerous people just in case ;)

Origami Magic Ball

I am into drawing and origami lately.
Although i would like to make an origami figurine, there are hardly any info i can find regarding that.
I think it is because it is a high level origami and a lot of time and effort is needed for making and even designing the paper crease.
Anyway, while I am looking for the information that I need, i came across this interesting origami magic ball made by Kade.

Today is the gathering of manga department new members.
I have seen many year 1 gathering around.
Legendary Girl A appeared and sat beside me. =)
Lately my mood has been down because i am not confident in my drawing.

Jeno invited me to join the manga production.
An angel and devil pop out over my head, and they were fighting over it.
Angel suggested, "Your skills are not there yet, don't accept the job if you don't have a capability of doing it, otherwise you will be a burden."
Devil counter, "Aiya, who cares about that, that is a good opportunity, we should size the chance to prove ourselves that WE CAN DO IT!"
Angel protested, " We should not take unnecessary risk, besides Jeno, Marcus and Shun are in the team, I am pretty sure they can handle the job pretty well."
Devil laughed, "Ha ha ha, your skills are not the problem for the job, it is because you are lost! You lack confident! You are missing the courage to take the one step to explore the world of Art!"
"Be gone you evil being, take my arrow of love!"
"Pueeen!" The arrow slices the air.
"Ha, you missed me, now eat my arrow of despair!"
"Alright i have decided," I sent jeno the message, "I don't know if i fit the job but i want to be in the team!".
Angel, " Ahh, think carefully before sending that..."
"I have decided that i really wanted to do manga after all." I thought while I waited for a reply.
"Boy, you are still lacking confident! Let me help you out with my arrow of impulsiveness!" Blasted devil, charging a red bolt arrow at me.

So, devil won as i resent the message. "I can do it and i want to be in the team!"
Soon jeno replied and that's how i ended up with a happy ending from the devil.
Getting to do what i like to do is the best after all.

Today is a Saturday, a usual Saturday for me is to laze around the house doing nothing but dreaming.
However today i went to buy roller skate with my parents, because i wanted to learn.
After which we went to orchard road to get my hp phone repaired, it will be up on Tuesday i hope.
Then again, I will have to practice roller skating, i am a beginner at it.
I don't want to let people see me fall and LoL. >.<
So i am going to practice it on my tread mill. LoL.

Today, i decided to do an update. An update about today...
Today at the cca drive, I was at the life art booth (my cca).
I felt that my drawings are not up to standard.
Compared to the rest, mine is not good at all.
Although 3 of my picture were selected for display file, 2 of them should not be there. (they are lousy, i will upload them soon, when they are available for grabs on http://www.splifearts.com/)
So i sighed, "I will do more practice."
Then came along this girl... Let's name her Legendary Girl A.
I seen her at the start of my first year when we were attending manga lesson, but she is missing in action for quite a long time.
I saw her and her drawings at the booth...
Speechless...
I must say, those pieces of work are too beautiful.

Well each of us at the manga department had our own unique style and strong points.
Marcus has good basics (important) and the ability to adept to different drawing situation (allowing him to draw amazing fast).
Shun has an excellent understanding of human anatomy and perspective. (This enables him to create realistic characters.)
Gab has very detailed drawings.
Tyson has the ability to fuse two different character of different personality into one original character.
I have only slightly better shading. (Which anyone can do when putting in effort.)

Legendary Girl A drawing skill is approximately the combination of all the strength of the above people mentioned plus the skill to use two more medium (water colour and inking) plus the ability to create background effects.
As a result, I am depress.
I have to admit that I am far from her level.
But she prove me something, that even an engineering student can draw well (She is from engineering course).
Well, actually Legendary Girl A is also the type of girl I like.

To improve myself i must set goals and accomplish them!
1. I must complete at least a piece of drawing before each manga lesson to share my work.
2. I must study human anatomy.
3. I must study Japanese.
4. I will learn how to roller skate.

My dream...
1. Draw a manga series.
2. Creat anime figurines from origami. (see link: http://chosetec.darkclan.net/origami/suigintou/)
3. Modify a roller skate into rechargeable motor powered roller skate.
4. Create the solar umbrella.
5. Increase the output of existing solar panels and ultimately make them into a stand alone system for generating electricity. All shall hail renewable energy.
6. Winner of Nobel award one day.

Hooray! It is time for once a month post again. =D
Manga progress so far... still planing storyline. We already had the idea how things goes, just need to work on the details. I wonder if we can meet the deadline we set for ourselves...
For those who don't know, SpLifeArts manga department is going to do short story manga. If successful they might even want to sell it at the cosfest <-- our goal.

Chinese New Year is coming, i don't expect much from red packets especially with a bad economy.

Last Week of the Holiday.

Collected my Japanese books for Japanese Language classes starting next Semester.
It is on Tuesday and Thursday, 5.30pm to 7.30pm.

I am taking Understanding Weather for GEMs, monday morning.
Coincidentally, Zhi Xiang applied for the same GEM too, but on different days.

Oh well, I guess I will be busy once again.
Goal for this new semester, stay awake during lessons. (I usually fall asleep)

What did i do for the whole of last week?
Preparing for Karate international competition.
Monday-Thursday Karate training.
Friday rest.
Saturday competition.
Our Club send around 20 players, 200+ players from Malaysia, Philippine, Brunei, Japan, India and a few more countries (can't rmb -.-') participated in this competition.

So karate Sparring, i guess nobody expect us to win, we are there for the experience and CCA points. =/

We only won 1 Silver and 1 Bronze.

For my battle, it last 2 minute of sparring.
My opponent is from Malaysia, Aka (Red). I am Ao (Blue)

First minute.....Score 0:0

1 Min 30 sec.... Score 0:0

Last 10 sec..... Score 0:0

Time's up.......Score 0:0

Then the sudden death came, the first to score a point wins.
At this point of time I am exhausted, wearing shinguard is like wearing weights.

So i lost in the sudden death. Sigh, felt unsatisfied.
My opponent is as lousy as me yet i cannot win.

Silver was won by our vice-president, Jin Hui.
Bronze.... was won by Galvin. (How on earth did he win? His opponent lost by committing fouls, thus in turn giving the other points. Galvin did not score any points.)

Anyway, clap for them, they did themselves and the club honor. *Clap* *Clap* *Clap*

Grading for my Karate is at the end of the month, gotta train and get double promotion again. Jiayou.
A Karate Competition is coming up, this time it is among the players in our club, next month.

Ahh, i have not been drawing much lately.... doodle~<3

Poly 50

Went for Poly 50 this Wednesday. Karate club sent in 2 teams, I am in the first team.
At the start, we did not position runners at other stations,
so everyone had to run the whole round.
After 10+ rounds, we decided that it was too tiring,
thus we station runners at every stations.
During the last lap, my body feels so light,
so i dashed and overtook many runners.
I guess my body had gotten used to the dashing.
There is a LED rechargeable torchlight at the end of the race,
it is efficient and bulky.

Ahh!!! I did not go for my Manga classes since i went for Poly 50.
So i don't know how well I had drawn for my Manga test,
Wat's more there is no Manga class next week T.T

Karate result postpone to next Monday,
cause few people came for training on Thursday.

Pocky. Yup, its that chocolate/strawberry coated biscuit stick.
Rocky? What's that? Well...it is Malaysia version of Pocky.
Which is cheaper?
Pocky cost S$0.87 in NTUC
Rocky cost RM$1.80
With the current ratio of S$ : RM, 1 : 2.3
Comparing prices, Rocky is just 10cents cheaper, due to stronger S$.
On the other hand, Rocky is expensive since it is just 10cents cheaper.

Anyway, I saved 4cents while shopping in NTUC.:D
I bought 2 box of Pocky at $0.87 each, total = $1.74
Since there are no 1cents, the cost price rounded off to $1.70 =D

By the way, i saw Daniel in Lot 1 together with some1 else.
Alright, I shall not poke my nose into other's business.

I cleared 2 testes, Karate grading and Manga drawing, now awaiting results.

Trees, vertical or horizontal?

I always admire how trees grow up to be tall and strong. Ever wonder how heavy a branch can get. Furthermore, there are so many branches sprouting from the trunk. These reminds me of physic, Center of Gravity.

I notice trees grow in 2 ways. Vertically and/or horizontally.

'Vertical' trees are the result of competition among their peers for sunlight, usually in a dense and crowded area.

'Horizontal' trees spread their branches across a huge area to increase the surface area for absorbing sunlight. They can be commonly found along road sides and pavements.

Now, taking a step back and look around yourself. Which type of tree do you want to be?

Spurring each other to greater heights or paving the road by yourself.

Personally, i choose the latter choice.
Why? You might ask.
Simply, because it takes 2 hands to clap.
*Smack!* (0.o mosquito)

The world revolves around physic.
Otherwise, Earth will leave its orbit and

A Trip to East Coast Park

I went to East Coast Park together with my sec4 buddies, Yong Soon, Po-an, Jun Xian and Jing Xuan. We started off with roller blading. Jing Xuan bought his own roller blade, he can skate very well. Jun Xian just learnt roller blading in his school. Yong Soon and Po-an have roller skating background. That left me, the newbie, who had only roller bladed once before. I fell countless times in the process, but my buddies were there to help and spur me on.

After 2 hours of roller blading, we went for cycling. Yong Soon like to ram Po-an's bike, but ended up losing balance himself. Oh, i was so 'luck' to get hit by a bird dropping.

Then i notice this very cool shady grass patch, littered with white flowers.

Po-an commented that it looks more like tissue papers then flowers.

After which we had more fun and subsequently, called it a day. Po-an went back to Taiwan the next day.

Hello,
A long time have passed since i last posted.
Firstly, an update on my poly life. I joined 3 CCA, namely, Karate, Life Arts and Japanese Cultural Club. I was choosing between Taewondo and Karate, but set my mind on Karate as Karate is less tedious compared to Taewondo. I joined Life Arts together with my classmates, however they chose Poly mo (making of gundam figurine) and i chose Manga instead. There is a meeting for Japanese Cultural Club members this coming Tuesday, looking forward to meet everyone. ^^
Secondly, an update on my free time. I have been playing the newly asiasoft release MMORPG called 'Cabal'. I played together with my cousin, Samuel. I am playing in Venus (something like world). I am the guild master of SHINlGAMI. Yes we made our own guild.Here is the guild ranks from the highest to lowest: Guild master, Captain, vice-Captain, 3rd sea th, 4th seat .... 10th seat, Substitute Shinigami, Shinigami Golden and Guild Member.
Lastly, an update of my class. DCEG/1A/02. Recently I noticed the class 'splits' into 2 groups, or cliques. Here's something i dislike: People who waste food. Even if the food doesn't suits your taste or you are full, you ought to finish what you have started. My class created a net work for playing our Counter Strike, called 1Ao2lanserver, a pretty interesting name i say. Overall, i find my classmates can get along well with each other.

I want to buy a chain and a ring for a magic trick. It is a great way to cheer anyone up with a simple but stunning magic trick. In addition, this is a very portable trick which i learn from Mr Darren Tan, a Physic teacher, my homeroom teacher, during the period i was posted to for PAE.

I went for bowling practics last friday, it was the best bowling game I ever had. Only 2 Jc1 were present (jing xuan and myself). Normally, 1 lane is shared by 4 bowlers, however due to the odd number of bowlers (15 of us), Jing Xuan and I ended up in the 3 person lane together with another senior. This increase our turns to bowl, and it was a lot of fun.

Firstly, we had a practice game. After which we had a match. Instead of our names, we used school initials, like PJC, SAJC, CJC, IJC, RJC. I represented IJC, Jing Xuan chose RJC and the captain picked PJC. Alright PJC won. I came in fourth with a score of 107, breaking my old record of 99. Jing Xuan got 103.

I am going to sum up what I had done in my secondary school life.
Sec 1: I entered Kranji Secondary School with a PSLE score of 234. (nice number er?)
I joined Young innovator club and Art club. I had a lot of fun making things with my hands. I was also an unofficial member of the chess club. Hey, I think I have a bit of talent in Chinese chess. The lessons I love to attend most is physic lessons, Mr Ong will always have jokes for us.
I remember there was a time Mr. Goh our English teacher punish the class (not everyone, only the naughty ones, including me). He made us write a 7000 word essay on 'Catalyst', guess what I did? I drew a 8-picture comic strip on 'Catalyst', there was one line that says,"a picture is worth a thousand words, so 8 pictures is worth 8000 word". Haha, I think I did a good 1.
Sec 2: 3 CCA closed down. They are my favourite, chess club, art club and young innovator club. Haha, I got no CCA. No choice buy to find 1, so I joined the Science club. Chess club is gone, because the previous instructor is leaving and the sch cannot find new 1. I am not sure of the reason for the closing of art club, I think it is too costly. The D&T teacher does not have enough time for the YI club, so it is gone. Thus, the science club had a boost of membership doubling it number to around 150 members. Everyone is interested in bio lessons (haha).
Sec 3: I took part in the strongest bridge competition hosted by Kranji. Emerged champion. My teammates, Hu Po-an, Wee Jun Xian and Chia Yong Soon. There was another competition hosted by Singapore Poly, so the school send the champion and runner-up team. My team emerge champion again, team name 'Simple'.(look for earlier post on strongest bridge competition) There is nothing much else in sec 3. Skip.
Sec 4: Hello 4B. 4B taught me many things. One of which is, to be more active, socialise and move out of my comfort zone. Singapore Poly hosted the competition again, my team claimed the ultimate victory once again. Near the exams, I started studying hard, and my results were showing, slowly.

I like to thank all the teachers and non-teaching staffs in Kranji, without them, there will not be today. To: (I have typed your full name, I hope you find your way here and I am proud to call you my teacher)
Mr Foo Chin Wei, thank you for not giving me a fish but to teach me how to fish. I had learnt a lot about bridge building from you.

Ms Serene Lai Woon Mui, I did not know there where so many technique in English. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

I cycled to pioneer junior college

I cycled to pioneer junior college with my dad. I think it is around 15min cycle from my house (beside Kranji Secondary School) to pjc. (Of course, we were cycling at snail pace)
I even printed a map to make sure I don't get lost ;)

School is about to start soon. I am posted to pjc after appealing. We have decided to meet up at the bus stop behide Lot 1, then travel to pjc together. I need to get there by 7.40am, so jun xian wanted us to meet at 7.10am.

"So why 7.10? I think it is too early. The bus ride is around 15min. Unless you want to check out the sch(pretty girls), then ok."

New month, new post!

Let's see, my graduation night sitting with 8 girls in a table for 10 wasn't a nightmare. In fact, it was a memorable memory to behold.

I like to thank Mei Xin for sharing with me her religion. God punish us for our sins, still he loves us and send his son Jesus to us. Jesus died for our sins on the cross and arise 3 days later from the ash.

Zhi Jie was almost late for the graduation night, he took the MRT and got lost, luckily I managed to contact Mr Sia and he arrived on time. I remember sending him a MSM like this: "Still got time. The bus is moving slowly, just like the time ticking slowly. You will make it on time, not if u take your own sweet time." That's a lot of 'time'.

Cang Ning is pretty. ;)

Oh I went to check out Sitex with yong soon, jun xian, Ging xuan and yan chong, I bought a 2GB thumb drive, cost $25. Later we visit Changi Airport Terminal 3. It is very environmental-friendly, with many trees and potted plants.

My Warcraft III cannot work, i wonder why. My computer have been (break) down and up recently. I think it is try to tell me something... perhaps that I should be studying? =) and not playing. Very well, I should focus even more on studying, and give it my all!!! Hope my distractions will go away. (Begone!!! You evil intentions)
I will get help from Zhi Jie to fix my Warcraft, he is reliable, thus there should not be any problem and I will be able to join the war field after my O's Level.
The current subjects I had already sat for the paper was rather average, nothing unexpected came out. (It is do able)
I believe my geography got hope, so must work hard on social studies. Let's aim at least a B3!
I told S & S (Samuel and Simon cousin), including Zhi Jie and Chong Ren that Twin Head Dragon(dota) got 3 hidden skills, 1 of which is confirmed (split dual breath) the other i have yet to try them out, but think they should work. Did you know? Dual breath is a breath of ice and fire, but they can be shot in different direction (that's y I call it split dual breath)... provided u know how to do it. ;)
Sister blames me for spoiling the computer, because it broke down while i was using. Would anyone blame you for spoiling the light just because its life runs out while you were using. Maybe I should return the word 'STUPID' back to her. :)
Oh! Did you know? I respect Cang Ning the most in school. She is like my role model; she has many great qualities for me to learn from. Cang Ning fulfills our school core values, erm... what are those values again? Respect, responsibility, integrity, compassion, love for learning and Creativity. She has other values such as leadership, sportsmanship and self-motivated. She is one of the few people who I would feel motivated just by look at them (admiring XD).
Cheryl is also one of the few people with another power. That smile on her face reminds me to be happy when I think of her. Don't believe that she has a brilliant smile; check her blog for a picture of her (any will do). (I should have her link)
Zhi Jie says hanging out with me got good points as well. :) I got good influence (study/mug type of influence), unlike others who play.

Ha ha, one month no update liao. I guess i did pretty badly for perlim 1, so many C5 & C6, hope out of nowhere will pop up 1 A1 =). I have been working very hard not to fail any subject, so at least all of them got hope to revive. Mr Kat say if you put aside a lousy subject very long, thinking you will do something about it later, when the time comes and u study it, you won't understand a single thing. As u know (perhaps u don't), i am a regular player of neopets. Today i am blessed, my stock rose up high. after 23 successful transaction, i earn 1m np. So happy, my effort paid off.
My relative came to my house today, so i played with my cousins (a pri5 and 2 pri 4 ). Played some multi player games found in neopets. From my observation, i assume that they like the cute 1 vs 1 character game (u know, the 1 that got the life bar, then kick, punch, block, combo game). My uncle came to deliver my spectacles, erm, let's c my previous 1 was (L, 1200 R, 600) now (L, 1300 R,800). the new glass for long range use, so i think i won be wearing often (things looks blur if used for short ranged).
Don't know y my Ground Control II cannot play, haix.
Don't know wat happen to Eunice's blog, i can't seem to access for Caleb's blog either.
Don't know wat happen to my tag box.

Wa, MTL O-Level paper on Monday, then my Solar competition on Friday, gosh, no time. My team no enthusiasm, got to start from square 1.

Today go Simlim tower shop for gearbox (the motor+metal case+gears), brought 2 of it at $20. Then shop for optic fibers, gosh! so expensive. 1m cost $o.8o, brought 50m at $25. Looking forward to the briefing for strongest bridge competition. Hope JX got bring his hand phone and give us a candid shot.
There's something i wanna talk about today.
So far, none of the teen relationships (i mean bgr) around me have last long. In other words, they are not successful. (humm... am i being jealous?)

Ahh! the competition dates are drawing new, so does the exams. Darn, my exams are far from over, guess i onli get to play after my O-Levels papers. Well, it doesn't really matters, i am tired of playing games. Games have become meaningless to me lately.
I am currently interested in anime, watched finish Black Blood Brothers (the story is too short 14ep onli). Currently embark watching Mahou Sensei Negima, a story of a 10 year old magical boy, teaching in a mid school as part of his magician training.
Humm, as for my school life, i have been staying back until 5+pm stud*~ahem!
The school has been quite eerie lately, after 3pm there is hardly any soul along the corridors. The worst is on a Friday, I get to keep the whole library to myself^^. Its probably due to the canceling of IP-coaching (supplementary lessons) for students to engage in self-revision. Everyone went out to party. ps mi T.T
Later nid go study again, E.Maths paper on this Friday. Lately, people have been discouraging mi to go PJC. Sis says, the ppl there all play play, they will hinder my PW in year 1. Best friend says, the students there so~so, he live near there thus opinion can be trusted.

Ha, i my neopet acc is still active
long ago, i invested 9k block of shares in CHIAat 15np per block,
now they rose up to 44np per block. Reaped o.396m np (That's a lot :) , but don't give mi that look if ya dun play neopet... forget about it if ya neopet too, u shall not have a share of my pie ^^.)

2day , go cck stadium,
well, my house came in 3rd,
that's wat we got for the last 4 years -.-'
The last house was Night hawk, as usual,
but they did well in cheering. got 1st.
My house came in last in cheering, paring with Ibex.
I was cheering with Jun Xian, then an extra from Albatross
came along, brian.
woot, i succeeded in blowing a balloon in a balloon, yay!

But james blew it up!

After it the event is over,
ys treat us to durian ice-cream.
ys, pa and I went to wing loon's terrace house.
It's big and has three stories (many toilets XD).

Later, an interesting sparing match between ys and pa,

today IP coaching so boring, Miss Ng go through Rate of Change questions. All no kick, so easy, gd thing i didn't waste my time on it (i got it done at the eleven hour ;) . Today's assembly not bad, very short, the teachers are so funny. When the question comes, "i don't know." follow by, "i really don't know." then they sabotage each other.
the office staffs must have been very bored today. they kept playing with the fire alarm, let it ring so many times. Miss Ng said we got no time for fire drill, nid to finish teaching Histogram.
School ends early on fridays as usual, got nth much to do, just another day.

Just finished watching Death Note episode 26, ha, let mi tell u wat happen ^^, just joking i dun wanna be spoiler. Death Note is gd, it's very original. I watch quite a lot of anime so far, erm, inuyasha, bleach, fate stay night, MAR, shakugan no shana, peacemaker, hitman reborn, pita ten, tenshi na konamaiki. Pick my fravourite? they are all my fravourites ^^ anime fan, yay!

Woke up at 10.00, b4 long my cousin came, he having his usual weekly tuition at my house, by my sis. I planned to go playing basket ball after his lesson at noon. His productivity was so low, thus i chip in to help out his homework. Sis went for her aikido lesson at 12.30, we continued working on the homework. Then mum serve us lunch (which i planned to eat after our basket ball game, but never mind). We ate happily.
Soon, a dark lump of cloud drifted from under the horizon. Cats and dogs were falling from the sky. We had to have our basket ball game push backed until the rain subsides. Meanwhile, we played the playstation. We managed to clear 5 missions in arcade mode. As soon as the first ray of light breaks through the clouds, we geared up and headed for the basket ball court. Humm... I think it has been 6 years since i last played basket ball outside school. Lost quite a bit of my touch.
Barely 30 minutes into our game, a luxurious car drove by (I didn't notice it driving by, however...)
, it was the Chew family's car. We headed off to Yew Tee for dinner. Many things had changed since i last visited 4 years ago. A shopping centre was under construction beside the MRT station. Well, I guess my life was so convenient that I do not have to travel out of my comfort zone to get my needs.
Mr. Chew headed to the petrol station to refill the car tank, while the remaining of us headed to cheers. What amazed mi most, was that it even sells soft toys( ahh, that cute looking rabbit, so furry to touch. i guess no 1 can resist the temptation upon attracted by kawaii rabbits). Good thing the rabbit is not dirty after being smoothened by so many dirty hands. They brought mi curry puff, i haven tasted it... (No... I am not going to let u have some, i am finishing them after ending my post. No! they are mine! Mine! Mine! Mine! All MINE! =P )
They send mi home after that, as well as to retrieve Simon’s backpack which was left at my house. Well, tmr is another day to go under the sun. Visiting my grandfather, along with other relatives.

how do i tell if some1 is interested in mi?
Recently, a gal from another class, whom i did not know of said, "Hi, i wan to be your friend." frankly, i am quite ashame not knowing her since we were in the same english class, it just happen we sat at oppersite end of the room and i failed to notice her. i found out her name after asking some of my classmates. Since then, she has been saying "hi!" to mi when we happen to meet. i find it rather uneasy, since i haven seen her saying "hi!" to other guys. wat should i do?
speaking to 5 of my trusted friends, they came up with 3 possible reasons 1) she just wan to make friends. 2) she wan to 'play' mi. 3) she is interested in mi. Well, we haven have the chance to speak with each other. perhaps i should approach her... i think she is pretty and cute, but i don't have those in love feeling for her yet.
1 of my 5 trusted friend jokingly said i was so fotunate to be caught in such a situation, another friend agreed, i agreed the second.
it had been a week since i noticed her. i can't think of any reason for her to like mi, except 1... i can vaguely recall giving up my seat on a bus for her, but that is all.
well, in the mean time i will try to get to know her better. However, i do not wish to get into any relationship yet, mainly 2 reasons 1) i am not gd enough for her yet. 2) i should focus on the exam ahead as this is an important year for GCE O'level exam.
it's kinda late now, ~yawn~ sweet dreams. :)
